GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION


 

1. LEGISLATION

Local Development Agency Vjeverica Ltd. Drenovci (LDA Vjeverica) has a website designed to comply with the following national and international legislation with regards to EU General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR).

This site is compliant with the above legislation with the data protection and user privacy legislation set out by many other countries and territories as well.

 

2. DATA PROTECTION AND ONLINE PRIVACY

LDA Vjeverica is allowed to collect or reuse personal information in following situations:

  • when they have a contract with a client, a contract to supply goods or services, or an employee contract,
  • when they are complying with a legal obligation, for example, when processing clients data is a legal requirement,
  • when data processing is in vital interests
  • to complete a public task mostly relating to the tasks of public administration
  • when there are legitimate interests

In every other situation, LDA Vjeverica is obligated to ask for the agreement, known as “consent”, before it can collect or reuse clients personal data.

2.1. AGREEING TO DATA PROCESSING – CONSENT

When LDA Vjeverica asks a client for the consent, that client has to make a clear action agreeing to this by signing a consent form or selecting I agree option on a webpage. The client has to opt in and agree to its personal data being stored and/or re-used for this purpose.

LDA Vjeverica has to provide information about its organization, as well as to introduce its client with the reasons why the organization is obligated to use their personal data. Moreover, the organization has to state how long they intend to keep clients personal data. The organization is not allowed to willingly give away clients personal information without consenting with them first. To conclude, LDA Vjeverica is obligated to introduce the client with their data protection rights, such as access, correction, deletion, complaint, withdrawal of consent, etc.

2.2. ACCESS TO PERSONAL DATA

LDA Vjeverica can request the personal data from a client, and the organization has the right to copy their data in an accessible format.

2.3. CORRECTING PERSONAL DATA

If LDA Vjeverica has stored personal data about their client that isn’t correct or is missing some information, then the client is obligated to update the organization with their data that are true and correct.

2.4. WITHDRAWING CONSENT TO USE PERSONAL DATA AND THE RIGHT TO OBJECT

If a client previously gave a consent for LDA Vjeverica to use its personal data, that client can contact the data controller to withdraw its permission at any time. For direct marketing emails that promote particular programs or projects, a client’s prior consent is required. However, if the client is an existing participant of a particular program or project, LDA Vjeverica can send a direct email about project/program activities to that participants. Those participants have the right to object at any time to receiving such direct emails and the LDA Vjeverica has to stop using their data immediately.

In all cases, information should always be given about the right to object to the use of client’s personal data the first time that the LDA Vjeverica makes a contract to that client.
